Our goal is to help readers understand what is happening, why it matters, and what it may mean for them.
- Accuracy: We make every reasonable effort to verify facts, data, quotations, research findings, and other material information before publication. When we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently.
- Fairness: We aim to represent people, companies, research, and competing perspectives accurately. When coverage includes serious criticism or consequential claims about an individual or organization, we seek appropriate context and, when warranted, an opportunity to respond.
- Evidence and sourcing: We rely on credible reporting, original sources, research, data, interviews, and expert perspectives. Important claims are attributed and linked to supporting sources when appropriate.
